Cascade Review and Giveaway!

June 4, 2011

I was recently contacted by Cascade and asked if I wanted to try their new Cascade Complete and take the Cascade challenge. They asked me bake a blueberry cobbler and let the dirty pan sit over night. They then told me to place the dirty, un-scrubbed, un-soaked dish in the dishwasher and let the Cascade Complete do all the work.

Well the thing is, I didn’t have to take this challenge because I am already a loyal user of Cascade! You see being a food blogger I dirty a lot of dishes. I wash at least one load of dishes a day and sometimes all they dirty dishes just won’t fit. So some sit for a few hours (and if I am lazy over night). I then live in a place that has an old dishwasher and really hard water. The stuck on food + old dishwasher + hard water = even dirtier dishes.

I tried everything. Pre-soaking. Pre-washing. Every dish detergent sold on the clean up isle at my local store. Nothing worked. I was at my wits end and came “this close” to quit cooking (ok a bit of an exaggeration but I was mad!). Finally, I saw the Cascade Complete. I tried it and never looked back. Cascade Complete All-in-1 ActionPacs break down, dissolve, and rinse away tough food particles, leaving your hands free and your dishes sparkling.

So, I guess you could say I am a walking, breathing Cascade commercial! Haha! Have you taken the Cascade Complete challenge yet? Well, today I am giving away a sample package of Cascade Complete to 4 lucky readers as well as a sample pack AND a $15 dollar Walmart gift card to one grand prize winner (5 winners total!!!).

You have FIVE separate ways to enter the Cascade Complete Giveaway! (NOTE: Please leave a SEPARATE comment for each response below):

My best cleaning tip is to split tasks up so you don't feel overwhelmed. One thing I usually do is cleaning 2 bathrooms downstairs one day and the 3rd bathroom upstairs the next day.

I use newspapers for the windows and mirrors. I can't stand when paper towels leave minute fuzz on the windows. Thanks!

Ever since I've been married I like to do little cleaning everyday that way so when Saturday comes around I don't have a bunch of huge messes to clean!

Oooh I am horrible about cleaning and really want to get better, so I probably don't have any tips for you that you don't know, lol! I probably need tips from you 🙂 But FlyLady taught me to swish and swipe the toilet and sink daily so it never gets too bad for company if they come over. I always try to keep up on the dishes because even if the rest of your house is dirty, if the kitchen is clean it feels so much better!

I use plastic crock-pot liners so that all I have to do when I am done cooking is remove them and throw it away.

My tip is folding laundry as soon as you pull it out of the dryer and immediately putting it away. If I don't fold and put it away immediately it will never get done!

I've turned into a procrastinator, so "just do it" is my best tip 🙂 *Thanks* for the giveaway!

When I am cooking I immediately put my dirty dishes into the dishwasher. That makes it so I don't have to clean very much when dinner is ready.

I suggest using vinegar and cloth rags to clean if a family member has allergies.

I use lemon juice and baking soda on the bathroom sink when it's really grungey. Seems to help!

My cleaning tip is to put a basket on the stairs. Throughout the day as I find things that need to go upstairs I throw them in the basket. Later in the day I take a few minutes and run everything upstairs and put it all away. Saves on running up and down the stairs all day… although I could use the extra exercise. Lol!!
