For many, sunny summer vacations are an exciting thing to look forward to every year. However, for me, some of my favorite trips my husband and I have taken over the years have been in the fall. Just when the air begins to get crisp and the leaves start to change into those gorgeous golden yellow and scarlet red hues.
Yes, a fall road trip to the “country” or to go camping, or let’s be honest, glamping 😊, is my idea of the perfect vacation! I love this time to escape the city, get some fresh air, disconnect from technology and enjoy the beautiful world around us.
I love sipping a hot cup of coffee on a cool morning while taking in the picturesque view. I love staying up late playing board games in our cabin and sitting around a campfire talking for hours on end. And let’s not forget my love for favorite treat, s’mores!!
This season, those memories, that feeling I get when I smell a wood burning or feel the crisp fall air blow through my hair is purely magical and is something I wish I was able to enjoy every single day.
However, there’s work to be done and that never ending pile of laundry, so I do what I can to embrace the magic of fall on a daily basis. Things like take an early morning walk in the cool air, light a warm fall candle, take the “scenic route” when driving to appointments or running errands, and whipping up warm, cozy coffee drinks inspired by my favorite treat, s’mores!
Over the years I’ve shared lots of s’mores recipes and today’s S’mores Latte is another fun twist on a whimsical treat. It starts with basic coffee and then I add some chocolate sauce, marshmallow cream, frothed milk and some toasted marshmallows and crushed graham crackers, obviously, for the ultimate coffee drink.
Not only is this S’mores Latte recipe a fun and tasty fall treat, I love how easy it is to whip up!
S’mores Latte Recipe
I love to whip up these S’mores Lattes so that my husband and I sip on our back porch while we reminisce about our favorite fall memories and plan our fall travels and holiday season! Not only is it a perfect way to switch up your daily cup of coffee, but it is also great for creating tasty holiday inspired memories, just like my homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte, or to serve with dessert at Thanksgiving.

S’mores Latte Recipe
This S’mores Latte recipe is the perfect drink to warm you up on a cold fall day and would be a fun treat to serve for Thanksgiving and all holiday season long!
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon marshmallow ice cream topping or marshmallow cream*
- 1 tablespoon chocolate sauce
- ½ cup hot coffee
- ½ cup whole milk
- --
- Garnish:
- Toasted mini marshmallows**
- Crushed graham crackers
- Chocolate sauce
Instructions
- Pour chocolate sauce and marshmallow cream into a coffee mug and microwave for
30 seconds.
- Pour hot coffee over chocolate sauce and marshmallow cream
and stir to combine. - In a glass measuring cup, microwave milk for one minute. Once
warm, use a handheld milk frother to froth the milk until foamy. - Carefully pour some of the milk into the coffee cup and then
use a spoon to carefully transfer the milk foam to the cup of coffee. - If desired, top foamed milk with toasted marshmallows and crushed graham crackers. Serve immediately.
- Optional: Place some crushed graham crackers on a plate and then pour a small amount of chocolate sauce on another plate. Roll the rim of the coffee cup in the chocolate sauce and then the crushed graham crackers for serving, if desired.
Notes
*I prefer marshmallow ice cream topping for this recipe because it will blend better into the hot coffee, but marshmallow cream will work too.
**To toast marshmallows, thread several marshmallows onto a skewer and toast over an open gas burner or with a kitchen torch.
