Thanksgiving Snack Mix Ingredient Substitutions:
Like most snack mix recipes, this Fall Trail Mix is very flexible based on your tastes and what ingredients you have on hand.
- Crispix cereal – Chex cereal can be substituted for the Crispix cereal called for in this recipe.
- Honey Roasted Peanuts – Salted or unsalted peanuts could also be used.
- Candy Corn – You either love it or hate it! If you are not a fan, you can swap the candy corn for additional Reese’s Pieces.
How long can you store homemade Chex mix?
This snack mix recipe can be stored in an airtight container for up to two weeks.

Fall Snack Mix
A festive sweet and salty fall snack mix that has caramel corn, candy corn and peanuts. Perfect for snacking on while making Thanksgiving dinner or watching the parade!
Ingredients
- 3 cups Bugles chips
- 3 cups caramel popcorn
- 2 cups Crispix cereal
- ½ cup honey roasted peanuts
- ½ cup Reese’s Pieces
- ½ cup candy corn
- Waffle ice cream cones (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, gently stir together all ingredients.
- Optional: Serve snack mix in waffle ice cream cones to look like cornucopias.
- Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
