Hot Mustard Wings

June 12, 2011

Since next Sunday is Father’s Day I decided to share a recipe today for typical “guy food.” You know, like “meat and potatoes,” nachos, etc.

Just like pizza and hamburgers, chicken wings are another thing that frequent our dinner menu because they are one of my husband’s favorites. I like chicken wings just as much as the next girl, but I need some variety. I liked that these wings were baked and not fried (baking things are more healthy… more of a girl thing) and the sauce was slightly sweet but mostly tangy. This was a nice change to the normal wing sauce.

1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1/4 teaspoon sugar
Arrange chicken wings on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake in the upper third of a 500° oven for 35 minutes. Whisk together mustard, soy sauce, Teriyaki sauce, vinegar and sugar; add wings and toss.
