How Do You Stay Organized?

October 7, 2011

I am so behind right now! I am behind on my laundry and other household chores, my blogging, my blog reading, responding to emails, running errands, and other random projects. Usually I am on top of meal planning and cooking good quality meals at home but I have not done that in weeks, either.

I know I have been busier than usual with work and other freelance writing jobs but not that busy, at least I don’t think? Maybe I just need to buckle down and get a calendar use the 30+ calendars I have and set myself up on a better organized schedule.

Menu Plan Monday, Toilet Tuesday, Work All Day Wednesday….

Does anyone else plan/schedule/organize their tasks like this? Can anyone recommend or share their organization tips? I need help/inspiration!

Anyways, one thing I am ahead of schedule is planning/organizing my holiday and various birthday get togethers for the next few months! (YAY! GO ME!)

If you are planning or going to any events or dinner parties over the next few months (holiday season is here!!!) bring this Apple Pie Party Dip. It is so easy and tasted like homemade apple pie with about 1/3 of the work! Perfect if you are busy like me!

Apple Pie Party Dip

Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes Wait Time: 30 minutes Serves 4

2 cups peeled, cored, and diced apple
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoon honey
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

INGREDIENTS FOR CHIPS:
6 (6-inch) flour tortillas
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar

For Dip:
Combine all the dip ingredients in a bowl, then cover and refrigerate the mixture until chilled. Serve with cinnamon tortilla chips.

For Chips:
Combine melted butter, cinnamon and sugar. Brush the tortillas with butter, then cut them into wedges.

Arrange the wedges on a greased baking sheet, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, and bake at 350º F until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Let them cool before serving.

I feel the same way right now…very unorganized. I really wish I had a home office, so stay on top of things!

    This dip looks great!
