Last time I mentioned a free food give away was when Oprah and KFC gave away free chicken. That caused KFC’s all over to shut down. Long lines formed and KFC couldn’t keep up with the demand. A week later KFC’s President apologized for any problems in getting the free chicken, but that they didn’t expect that many people to turn out. Really!?! You didn’t expect that many people to turn out when OPRAH announced it on her show. Anything Oprah announces or does people flock to by the millions. If your product/company/book is featured on Oprah it is like being kissed by Gods.
Oprah didn’t announce the Sonic giveaway (however I saw it on a TV commercial) so hopefully there will be enough Root Beer Floats to go around!
I hope you enjoyed your root beer float. After having lived in Mexico for 8 years, one of the foods/beverages that I miss the most is Root Beer Floats. To me, root beer floats are pure "Americana".
