Kids in the Kitchen: American Flag Toast

June 28, 2014

Summer is such a fun time of year!

I want to do so many things! Movies in the park, concerts in the park, pool days, ball games and Independence Day celebrations!

I have been sharing kid friendly recipes on this blog for sometime. In fact, I have held my Kids in the Kitchen series, in some form or fashion, every summer since I started blogging. I am back at it this year, and while I had hoped to share a Kids in the Kitchen recipe every Friday all summer long; I’ve been a tad bit busy. Even though we are well into our summer vacation, I still hope to bring you some Kids in the Kitchen recipes to help beat those summer boredom busters.

First up is this festive American Flag Toast! I guess I have been feeling super patriotic lately, since I shared this Patriotic Cake a few weeks ago; but I guess you can never have too many festive foods to celebrate your country!

This toast is so easy to whip up and is loaded with fresh fruit. Kids will love creating their own patriotic slice of toast for breakfast to celebrate America’s Independence on July 4th!

So cute! I'm going to make that blueberry, banana, & jam one for myself. 🙂
